The requirement of professionals to appoint a Responsable du respect des obligations “RR” and a Responsable du contrôle du respect des obligations “RC” is laid out in the law of 12 November 2004.  Specific knowledge requirements and responsibilities, including reporting to supervisory authorities, are placed on the RR and the RC.
